On August 1st, 33 apprentices, dual students and annual trainees started their careers at Kesseböhmer's plants in Dahlinghausen and Bohmte. Kesseböhmer thus remains true to its tradition and continues to be one of the largest and most versatile training companies in the region.
For several years now, Kesseböhmer has been organizing its popular inter-professional introductory week together with the sprout Azubi-Akademie, a program of axth GmbH from Georgsmarienhütte. "With the introductory week, we want to ensure that our trainees are as well prepared as possible for the first steps in their careers and approach them together as a team," explains Sarah Schnittker, commercial trainer at Kesseböhmer, "this is characterized by a mix of team-building measures, company explorations, product training and small tasks at their future workplace."
For the first time, the introductory week team organized a company rally along the entire production process of the "LeMans" corner cabinet solution. With the support of numerous colleagues from the various departments, the trainees gained an initial insight into the business and production processes on site at stations spread across the entire factory premises.
Kesseböhmer will continue to rely on skilled workers from its own ranks in the future. The application phase for the start of training in 2024 has already begun in the beginning of August. In addition to the numerous industrial, technical and commercial apprenticeships, the company also offers a dual study program to prepare students for their professional life. A new addition this year is the practice-oriented "Business Administration - Retail Management" course at the Bohmte site.
