The starting signal was given at the 2021 autumn trade fairs: Since then, Kesseböhmer Beschlagsysteme GmbH, Bad Essen, and Holzwerk Rockenhausen, Rockenhausen, have been supporting the "grünergriff" quality and value community. In this way, the two companies are not only strengthening the Kesseböhmer brand. They are also committed to conscious sustainability and regionalism in the kitchen trade.
Making the sustainability of a kitchen studio and a kitchen transparent for the buyer and user - that is the goal of the "grünergriff" initiative. Launched in October 2020 by three industry experts, the label of the same name, which is tested annually, documents which kitchen retailers continuously and convincingly implement concepts for more sustainability.
"Sustainability and regionality are increasingly becoming the focus of consumers - in the kitchen trade as well," says a press release from "grünergriff". That's why the initiative has created a concept that bundles individual activities in the industry, promotes awareness of sustainability, communicates activities and offers customers guidance.
Since September 2021, Kesseböhmer has been supporting the network as an industrial partner not only with a marketing package and sustainable products such as "OrganiQ" from Rockenhausen. The company's sustainability policy also aims to meet its own high standards with economic, ecological and social responsibility. Together with suppliers, employees and customers, the aim is to create the basis for sustainably productive business operations.
Since April 2021, the "grünergriff" team has been touring the whole of Germany with the green van in order to exchange ideas on the subject of sustainability with regional kitchen retailers on site. The fall trade fairs were also used to talk to the industry and specialist retailers at various locations. From now on, Kesseböhmer will be doing its part to ensure that the topic of sustainability is incorporated into kitchen planning.
