Companies strong 7,000 employees and twelve million ratings - together with the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF), Deutschland Test has investigated for the fifth time in a row which companies in Germany have the highest innovative strength. After industry winner Hettich, which set the benchmark with 100 points, Kesseböhmer came in second with 70.7 points. Both companies are thus the only furniture fittings manufacturers to be awarded the title of "Germany's most innovative companies".
In a special publication dated June 19, 2021, the weekly magazine "Focus" devotes seven pages to the Innovation Award 2021 and explains the methodology of the study. Statements on topics such as innovation activity, investments, research and development, product innovations or technology were evaluated. The database included more than 400 million online sources.
It was only in May 2021 that Kesseböhmer developed its own online presentation for the world's most important and first-time digital industry event, Interzum, where it presented "FREEslim", a preview of a future generation of fittings for wall units. The basis is an ultra-thin storage unit that can either be screwed onto the side panel from the inside to save space or integrated completely. "FREEslim" covers all opening types: Folding, swinging up and parallel swinging up. Thanks to the division into two parts - lever and power pack - the lifters, which can be used on both the right and left sides, can be attached to the cabinet sides and front without tools.
For years, Kesseböhmer hardware systems have been playing in the top league. The "Dispensa" pharmacy cabinet, the "LeMans" corner unit and the "iMove" wall unit have now become classics. They illustrate not only innovative strength but also continuity and staying power. In Germany, Kesseböhmer currently employs around 2,700 people.
