Kessböhmer takes responsibility for its employees. With extensive offers in the area of support and provision, such as company health and accident insurance as well as a company pension scheme, the family business wants to make its contribution to reducing worries. The company has now received an award for its particular sense of responsibility in the social sector.
"We have been working hand in hand with Kesseböhmer for over twenty years when it comes to providing for and protecting employees," explains Michael Kleine-Heitmeyer, owner of the Allianz general agency in Bad Essen, and adds: "Since MetallRente was founded, it has been offered to all employees at Kesseböhmer and also receives above-average support. In addition to the very generous financial support from the boss, this also includes the option of holding consultation days in all plants at any time and providing employees with comprehensive information on retirement provision, occupational disability cover and the right way to achieve this."
But it is not only in the area of company pension schemes that Kesseböhmer tries to provide its employees with the best possible support. "In addition to the accident insurance, which has also been fully employer-financed for several years and offers employees 24/7 and worldwide protection, company health insurance was introduced in 2023, which is also fully paid for by the employer - and from which employees benefit directly. If you calculate the added value that employees can receive each year from this bundle of additional benefits (accident insurance, MetallRente and company health insurance), this results in a total of around €3500 per year as a bonus from the boss," adds Michael Kleine-Heitmeyer. For this extensive commitment, Kesseböhmer has now been recognized in an audit conducted by concern GmbH in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth for the implementation of measures to promote social responsibility.
In this specific case, the auditors certified that Kesseböhmer is making an important contribution to equal opportunities, job security and the health of its employees with its new company health insurance. Michael Kleine-Heitmeyer, the responsible partner at Allianz Versicherung, emphasized: "The package put together here is well above average and a beacon within the company health insurance sector, and has caused a stir throughout Germany. Reason enough for us to have Kesseböhmer's social commitment evaluated by concern GmbH in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth. The result is quite rightly the award for Kesseböhmer's high level of social responsibility towards its employees."
