A positive sense of community and communication at eye level are particularly important to Kesseböhmer when it comes to Apprenticeship its talents of tomorrow. In order to strengthen the team spirit and get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere, the first trainee barbecue evening was held in Bad Essen with around 80 participants.
Both our current trainees and the new trainees for the 2024 apprenticeship year therefore met with their trainers across all professions on 22.05.2024 on the village square in Lintorf. The event began with a brief welcome from Holger Meyer, Head of Industrial Apprenticeship, who thanked all the organizers and the management for the opportunity to hold the event. This was followed by a tournament in which trainers and trainees competed in mixed teams in Viking chess. "What I liked best was seeing all the trainees come together and seeing what a big and great community we are," reported trainee Jule Hermjohannes.
After the group phase, all participants were able to fortify themselves at the barbecue buffet. The trainees also got involved with lots of delicious homemade salads, barbecue sandwiches and dips. Afterwards, the first three places in the Viking chess tournament were determined in the semi-finals and final, who received medals specially made for the event in the training workshop at the end of the event at a small award ceremony "It was great to see how many participants we were able to welcome to the barbecue evening and how well everyone - regardless of apprenticeship year or profession - got on with each other," summarizes Sarah Schnittker, commercial trainer, and Daniel Enns, industrial-technical trainer, adds: "I'm sure that this event will have a positive impact on the start of our new apprentices' training and the already very good team spirit."
