"One face to the customer": Kesseböhmer reorganizes shopfitting division

The Kesseböhmer Group has pooled its shopfitting activities, which involve around 1,600 employees at four locations in Germany. For this purpose, it has founded Kesseböhmer Ladenbau GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bad Essen/Dahlinghausen. Customers now have access to what the company claims is one of the most comprehensive shopfitting programs in Europe via a centrally controlled sales organization.

For Kesseböhmer as a family-led company, the restructuring means the consistent continuation of a path taken years ago. The optimized interaction of the four locations under one roof doesn't only bring together the various disciplines of shopfitting, such as system shelving, checkout counters, wire processing and customized product presentation. It also qualifies the Kesseböhmer Group with "Shopfitting Made in Germany" as a competent full-range supplier for national and international retail customers. The centrally controlled sales department allows customers to be met according to the principle of "one face to the customer".

Well positioned in terms of personnel

Jan Staehler heads the shopfitting activities of the Kesseböhmer Group. In this function, the 52-year-old reports directly to Oliver Kesseböhmer. Jan Staehler has held management positions within the Kesseböhmer Group since 2002.

Harald Boerger (58) is responsible for sales within the management team. Christopher Ottenberg (34) has been responsible for national sales since January 1, 2023. Tobias Hoser (34) has been Head of International Business since January 1, 2023. He comes from Wanzl GmbH & Co. KGaA, Leipheim.

No Euroshop exhibitor in 2023 either

At the Euroshop, which will take place from February 26 to March 2, 2023 in Düsseldorf, Kesseböhmer Ladenbau GmbH & Co. KG will not participate. It is thus staying true to the line that the shopfitting companies of the Kesseböhmer Group had already taken for the previous trade fair editions in 2017 and 2020. "The close contact we maintain with our business partners has prompted us not to exhibit this year either. We usually discuss our customized developments directly and not publicly with our customers and potential customers," Harald Boerger explains the decision.
